Because of the large temperature differences between day and night in the mountain regions of Gapyeong, the special characteristics of floricultures are that they have extravagant colors with improved qualities. Thus, they are currently being exported to China and Japan.

The coloration of the original breed plays a very important role for determining the product value for tropic tropical orchids. Growing them in the hot temperatures of summer usually makes its product value fall, but the fog facilities, solution irrigation facilities and charcoal heating facilities for reducing managerial expenses helps the flowers avoid the hottest times of the day at 400m above sea level to create only the best quality flowers. Furthermore, in the growing grounds 700m above seas level at Hwaaksan (Mt.), which are famous for its extreme temperatures during the winter, the flowers are more colorful, number of flowers increase and the leaves have a truer look helping to enhance the added value from early shipment of the tropical orchids.

Gapyeong tropical orchids, which is grown in the mountainous areas of northern Gyeonggi, has more extravagant colors compared to other areas due to the large temperature differences between day and night, while the quality of tropical orchids are improved through solution cultivation. Its excellence in quality has been acknowledged by Yangje Flower Market Center , Gyeonggi Flower Cooperative Association and Seongnam Orchid Association and is currently being exported to China and Japan .
